Specializing in financial reporting and auditing across a broad range of business sectors in both the UK and Canada, Mr. Thatcher brings extensive experience in operating with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Mr. Thatcher obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours in Economics from Lancaster University, England, which included a one-year program at the University of British Columbia. He is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Upon arriving in Canada and prior to joining Manex, he worked in public practice at Smythe LLP, where he served companies in the mining and exploration sector as well as entities in the public sector. Mr. Thatcher is also a volunteer board member and treasurer at the Heritage Hall Preservation Society, a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to restoring and managing Heritage Hall, a landmark building in Vancouver.
In his spare time, Mr. Thatcher enjoys skiing, hiking, camping, and travelling.
